The Rabbitry Network is a vetted placement platform designed to connect ethically bred rabbits with committed, lifelong homes — while reducing scams and uncertainty for both buyers and breeders.
For Families & Buyers
1. Browse Available Rabbits
Explore rabbits listed by approved breeders across different states. Each listing includes key details such as age, breed, placement type, location, and placement fee.
Listings on our site are reservation listings, not instant purchases.
2. Submit a Family Application
Before placing a deposit, families complete a short application so breeders know their rabbits are going to appropriate homes.
This step helps ensure:
Proper care expectations
Long-term commitment
Ethical placements
3. Place a Secure Deposit
Once approved, search for a bunny of your choice and place a 20% non-refundable deposit through The Rabbitry Network to reserve the rabbit.
Deposits are held by the platform This protects buyers from scams This confirms serious intentDeposits are refunded only if the breeder cannot provide the rabbit as listed.
4. Pickup & Final Payment
The remaining balance is paid directly to the breeder at pickup using the payment method listed on the rabbit’s profile (cash, Venmo, etc.).
Pickup details are arranged directly between buyer and breeder. Once a deposit is secured, we will provide you with the breeder's info to get ahold of.
For Breeders
1. Apply to Join the Network
All breeders must submit an application and agree to our ethical standards before listing rabbits.
We review:
Breeding practices
Care standards
Placement expectations
2. List Your Rabbits
Approved breeders may list rabbits that meet our placement guidelines.
Requirements:
Minimum placement fee: $150
Clear placement terms
Accurate photos and descriptions
We do not allow discount listings. Pricing should reflect the care, time, and responsibility involved in ethical breeding.
3. Secure Deposits, Serious Buyers
The buyer’s deposit is processed through The Rabbitry Network as part of our scam-prevention system.
We retain 20% of the placement fee for platform services
The breeder receives the remaining balance at pickup
This system protects both parties and reduces time-wasters.
4. Ethical Placement First
