Listing Guidelines for Breeders

For Breeders: Listing Guidelines & Network Standards

Welcome to The Rabbitry Network

The Rabbitry Network exists to connect responsibly bred rabbits with committed, lifelong homes. We are a curated placement network, not an open marketplace. All breeders are reviewed and approved before listing.

Please review the following standards carefully before submitting an application.

Eligibility to List

To list rabbits on The Rabbitry Network, breeders must:

-Breed intentionally and responsibly
-Prioritize health, welfare, and ethical placement
-Accurately represent rabbits, lineage, and health status
-Be willing to communicate clearly with potential adopters
-Agree to all placement, pricing, and cross-listing policies
-Approval is based on alignment with our standards, not volume or speed of sales.

Placement Fees & Pricing Standards

-The minimum placement fee accepted on The Rabbitry Network is $150
-Pricing should reflect proper care, ethical breeding, and buyer commitment
-Discount, clearance, or “need gone” listings are not accepted
-A 20% non-refundable reservation deposit is collected by The Rabbitry Network at the time of reservation. The remaining balance is paid directly to the breeder at pickup.

Reservation & Payment Structure

-Deposits collected through the network secure placement
-Breeders may not accept additional deposits once a reservation is made
-Final payment is completed in person, directly between breeder and buyer
-The Rabbitry Network does not act as escrow or retailer

Cross-Listing Expectations

Breeders may list rabbits elsewhere, but must:

-Disclose all cross-listings
-Immediately mark rabbits unavailable once reserved through the network
-Never accept multiple deposits for the same rabbit
-Reservation priority always belongs to The Rabbitry Network once a deposit is placed.

If you have a rabbit listed on this network and another avenue, before taking a deposit, please check your email to ensure you do not have a current reservation in place already. If you do not, send an email to withdraw the rabbit from our network immediately following a deposit.

Listing Accuracy & Updates

Breeders are responsible for:

-Providing current, accurate photos and descriptions
-Notifying the network promptly if availability changes
-Ensuring rabbits listed are healthy and appropriately aged for placement
-Repeated inaccuracies may result in listing removal or suspension.

Ethical Standards

All breeders are expected to:

-Place rabbits with consideration for lifelong welfare
-Avoid impulse placements
-Be transparent about health, temperament, and care needs
-Support buyers with honest information and reasonable guidance
-The Rabbitry Network reserves the right to decline or remove listings that do not align with these values.

Additional Rabbit Offers & Discounts

Breeders may not offer additional rabbits at a discounted rate once a buyer has initiated pickup arrangements for a listed rabbit. While well-intended, encouraging multiple placements without proper experience can place rabbits at risk.
Bonding rabbits is complex and often misunderstood. Improper introductions can lead to severe stress, injury, or permanent incompatibility. The Rabbitry Network prioritizes safe, intentional placements over impulse decisions or bundle-style offers.
Any discussion of additional rabbits must be disclosed and approved in advance to ensure placement remains ethical and appropriate.

Approval Process

-Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.
-Applications are reviewed individually, and approval may be limited, conditional, or revoked at any time.
-Once approved, breeders will receive instructions on how to submit rabbits for listing.
